Veera meaning
Veera (वीरा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, वी, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Rohini nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Heroic, strong (feminine); name of the wife of Bharadvāja
Veera (वीरा) is Sanskrit vīrā, the feminine of vīra, "hero" or "heroic, powerful". Monier-Williams records vīrā as the name of the wife of Bharadvāja, as a river in the Mahābhārata, and as a śruti, one of the fine intervals of Indian music. It is a different word from virā, with a short first vowel, which MW gives as a wife whose husband and sons are living. Indian name lists give Veera as brave, heroic or strong, which matches the dictionary. It is a girl's name used across India, and Veer, from the same word, is the matching boy's name.
