Wafa meaning
Wafa (وفا) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Faithfulness to an engagement or promise; loyalty
Wafa (وفا) is the Arabic wafāʾ, from wafā, "to fulfil, to keep one's word". Lane's lexicon gives the verb as to fulfil, perform or keep a compact or promise, and wafāʾ as being faithful to an engagement or promise; one who does so is wafiyy, "faithful". In Urdu, wafā is a central word of love poetry, where the faithful lover's wafā is set against the beloved's bewafāʾī, "faithlessness". Name lists give Wafa as "faithfulness" or "loyalty", the dictionary sense.
