Zebunnisa meaning
Zebunnisa (زیب النساء) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian and Arabic origin.
Ornament of women (Persian zīb, 'adornment', with Arabic al-nisāʾ, 'the women')
Also used to mean: beauty of women
Zebunnisa (زیب النساء) joins Persian zīb or zeb, which Steingass's dictionary defines as adornment, elegance or beauty, with Arabic al-nisāʾ, "the women", the title of the Quran's fourth chapter. Together they mean "ornament of women". The same zeb ends the name of the emperor Aurangzeb, "ornament of the throne". His eldest daughter, Zeb-un-Nissa (1638–1702), was a scholar and Persian poet who wrote as Makhfi, "the hidden one". Name lists give Zebunnisa as "ornament of women" or "beauty of women".
