Areeba meaning
Areeba (اریبہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Intelligent, sagacious, skilful
Also used to mean: wise, witty
Areeba (اریبہ) is a feminine form of Arabic arīb, from the root ʾ-r-b. Lane's Lexicon glosses arīb as intelligent, sagacious or skilful, and notes that it can also carry a sense of cunning. Lane discusses the masculine; the feminine is a regular Arabic formation rather than a separate dictionary entry. Name lists today give "wise", "intelligent" or "witty", which match the dictionary sense closely, though they leave out the shade of craftiness the word can have. Arīb itself does not occur in the Quran. The masculine Areeb is used as a boys' name, and the girls' name is also spelled Areebah.
