Jazeela meaning

Jazeela (جزیلہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.

Great, abundant (as of a gift or reward); generous

Also used to mean: majestic

Jazeela (جزیلہ) is the feminine of Arabic jazīl, from the root j-z-l. Lane's lexicon gives jazl and jazīl as much of a thing, great or large, and quotes phrases such as ʿaṭāʾ jazīl, "a generous gift", and thawāb jazīl, "a great reward". In the same entry jazl also describes a generous man and one of sound judgment. Name lists give Jazeela as "great" or "majestic"; "abundant" and "generous" are closer to the dictionary. The name is used by Muslim families in India and the Gulf.
