Azka meaning
Azka (ازکیٰ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Purer, purest; better, more righteous
Also used to mean: pious, virtuous
Azka (ازکیٰ) is Arabic azkā, the comparative of zakiyy, from the root z-k-w, the same root as zakāt, the purifying alms. Lane's lexicon gives azkā as purer or purest, better and more righteous, and zakiyy as pure from sin, a good person. He notes that scholars debated whether the root first meant purity or growth, since zakāt both cleanses and increases wealth. The Quran uses azkā in phrases such as "that is purer for you" (2:232). Name lists give Azka as "purer" or "virtuous", in line with the dictionary.
