Lubaba meaning
Lubaba (لبابہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
The choicest, purest part of anything; the best of a people
Also used to mean: essence
Lubaba (لبابہ) is built on the Arabic lubāb, from the root l-b-b. Lane's lexicon gives lubāb, like lubb, as the kernel or inner part of something, and so what is pure and choicest in it, and quotes the phrase "she is the choice one of her people". Name lists give Lubaba as "pure" or "essence", which matches. The name goes back to early Islam: Lubaba bint al-Harith, known as Umm al-Fadl, was the wife of the Prophet's uncle al-Abbas, the sister of his wife Maymuna, and one of the first women to accept Islam.
