Soha meaning
Soha (سہا) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Al-Suhā, a small dim star in the Great Bear (Alcor), used to test eyesight
Also used to mean: little star
Soha (سہا) comes from Arabic al-Suhā, the name of a small, faint star. Lane's lexicon places it beside the middle star of the three in the tail of the Great Bear, and says people looked at it to test the strength of their eyesight; it is the star now called Alcor. An old Arabic proverb sets the faint Suhā against the bright moon, and another asks how Suhayl (Canopus) in the south could ever meet al-Suhā in the north. Name lists give Soha as "star". In India the actress Soha Ali Khan bears it.
