Rizwana meaning
Rizwana (رضوانہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Good pleasure, divine approval; also the name of the keeper of Paradise
Also used to mean: contentment, divine pleasure, satisfaction
Rizwana (رضوانہ) is the feminine form of Rizwan, from Arabic riḍwān and the root r-ḍ-w, "to be pleased". Lane's lexicon gives riḍwān as being pleased, good pleasure, and adds that Riḍwān is also the name of the keeper of Paradise. In the Quran riḍwān is God's good pleasure, described as "greater" than the gardens of Paradise (9:72). Name lists give Rizwana as "contentment" or "divine pleasure", and some add "guardian of Paradise", which follows the second sense. Rizwana is used by Muslim families across India.
