Ilham meaning
Ilham (الہام) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage), also used for boys in some countries.
Inspiration from God; putting something into the mind
Also used to mean: intuition
Ilham (الہام) is Arabic ilhām, the verbal noun of alhama, from the root l-h-m. Lane's lexicon gives alhamahu Allāhu li-l-khayr, "God directed him by inspiration to what was good", and alhamahu iyyāhu, "he put it into his mind". In Muslim thought ilhām is the quiet inspiration that may come to anyone, as distinct from waḥy, the revelation given to prophets; in Urdu it is the everyday word for inspiration. Name lists give Ilham as "inspiration". It is used for girls and, in some countries, for boys.
