Rashida meaning
Rashida (رشیدہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Following the right way; rightly guided, of sound judgement
Also used to mean: righteous, wise
Rashida (رشیدہ) is the feminine of Arabic rashīd, from the root r-sh-d, "to follow the right way". Lane's lexicon gives rāshid and rashīd as taking or following the right course, on a road or in one's affairs, and often holding a right belief; rushd is rectitude and maturity of judgement. The first four caliphs are called al-khulafāʾ al-rāshidūn, "the rightly guided caliphs", from the same word. Name lists give Rashida as "rightly guided" or "righteous", matching the dictionary. Rasheeda is an Indian spelling.
