Anukriti meaning
Anukriti (अनुकृति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Imitation, a copy; compliance
Also used to mean: picture, image
Anukriti (अनुकृति) is the Sanskrit anukṛti, which Monier-Williams defines as imitation, a copy, or compliance. It comes from anu-kṛ, "to do after" and so "to imitate", and is a sister word to ākṛti, "form", the root of Akriti. Name lists render it as "picture" or "image", that is, a likeness made after an original, which is a fair, gentler reading of the dictionary sense. The name gained wide attention through Anukreethy Vas (often written Anukriti Vas), who was crowned Femina Miss India in 2018.
