Likhita meaning
Likhita (लिखिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Written; drawn, sketched, painted
Also used to mean: inscribed
Likhita (लिखिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit likhita, the past participle of likh, which first meant to scratch or scrape and then to write. Monier-Williams gives written, drawn, sketched and painted, and as a neuter noun a written document or scripture. As a masculine noun Likhita is a Rishi who, with his brother Śaṅkha, is named as the author of a law-book in the Mahabharata. Name lists today give written or inscribed, which matches the dictionary; the extra sense "destined" seen on some lists is not in it. The name is used in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it is spelt Likhitha.
