Anvesh meaning
Anvesh (अन्वेष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Seeking, searching, inquiry
Also used to mean: seeker
Anvesh (अन्वेष) is the Sanskrit anveṣa, from anu-, "after", and the verb iṣ, "to seek, to wish": seeking after something. Monier-Williams gives it as seeking or searching for, citing Kālidāsa's Śakuntalā, alongside the longer anveṣaṇa, "searching, investigation". In Hindi anveṣaṇ is the formal word for research or exploration. Name lists give Anvesh as "seeker", "search" or "inquiry", which fit the dictionary sense. The name is used in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and in Bengal and Odisha as Anwesh.
