Arwa meaning
Arwa (اروی) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Mountain goats (plural of urwiyya); also an old woman's name
Also used to mean: graceful, female mountain goat, fresh
Arwa (اروی) is an old Arabic woman's name. Lane's lexicon explains arwā as a plural of urwiyya, the female mountain goat or ibex, and notes that both words were used as proper names for women; the same root gives rawiya, "to drink one's fill". Name lists give Arwa as "graceful", "fresh" or the female mountain goat. Its most famous bearer is Arwa al-Sulayhi, the queen who ruled Yemen in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. The name is used by Muslim families across India.
