Aslam meaning
Aslam (اسلم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Safer, safest; more secure and free from harm
Also used to mean: peaceful
Aslam (اسلم) is the Arabic aslam, the comparative and superlative from s-l-m, the root of salām, "peace", salīm, "sound, unharmed", and islām. Lane's lexicon defines it as safer or safest, more secure and freer from harm of every kind. Name lists give Aslam as "safest" or "peaceful". The same letters, read as the verb aslama, mean "he submitted", the word from which islām comes. In Indian sport the name is remembered through Aslam Sher Khan, a member of India's 1975 hockey World Cup team.
