Ayushman meaning
Ayushman (आयुष्मान) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Possessed of vital power, healthy, long-lived
Ayushman (आयुष्मान) is the Sanskrit āyuṣmān, the nominative form of āyuṣmat, built on āyus, "life". Monier-Williams gives it as possessed of vital power, healthy, long-lived and alive, with uses as early as the Atharva Veda. It was also a respectful form of address, used especially for princes and for Buddhist monks, and it names one of the twenty-seven yogas of Indian astronomy. The word is best known from the blessing āyuṣmān bhava, "may you live long", which elders still give to the young. Name lists give Ayushman as "long-lived", which matches the dictionary. Ayushmann is another spelling.
