Vidhu meaning
Vidhu (विधु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The moon; in the Rig-veda 'lonely, solitary', said of the moon
Vidhu (विधु) is a Sanskrit word for the moon. Monier-Williams traces it to the Ṛg-veda, where the adjective vidhu, "lonely, solitary", is used of the moon, and gives the noun "the moon" from Manu, the poet Bhartṛhari and the Gītagovinda. The lexicographers add rarer senses, including camphor, wind, time, and names of Brahmā and Vishnu. Name lists give the name simply as "moon", matching the dictionary. The film-maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a well-known bearer.
