Badrinath meaning
Badrinath (बद्रीनाथ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Name of the temple at Badarī; nātha, 'lord, protector'
Also used to mean: lord of badri, lord vishnu
Badrinath (बद्रीनाथ) comes from Sanskrit badarī-nātha. Badarī is the jujube tree, and Monier-Williams also lists it as the name of one of the sources of the Ganges in the Himalaya; nātha means protector or lord. The dictionary gives Badarīnātha as the name of the temple there, in today's Uttarakhand, where Vishnu is worshipped as Badrinarayan and which is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage shrines. Baby-name lists give the name as "lord of Badri", which follows the parts. Families often shorten it to Badri.
