Bajrang meaning
Bajrang (बजरंग) is a Hindu boy's name of Hindi origin (from Sanskrit).
Having a sturdy frame; a title of Hanuman
Also used to mean: lord hanuman, body strong as a thunderbolt
Bajrang (बजरंग) is the Hindi form of Sanskrit vajra plus aṅga. Vajra is Indra's thunderbolt and also the diamond, the hardest of things; aṅga means limb or body. Platts' Hindi dictionary glosses bajrang as "having a sturdy frame" and records it as a title of Hanumān, who is widely called Bajrang Bali. Baby-name lists give the same Hanuman meaning, often as "body strong as a thunderbolt". Monier-Williams lists the Sanskrit compound vajrāṅga only as a word for a snake, so the Hanuman sense belongs to Hindi usage. Olympic wrestler Bajrang Punia carries the name.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Hanuman.
