Dhvanit meaning
Dhvanit (ध्वनित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Sounded, caused to sound; implied; sound, thunder
Also used to mean: tone
Dhvanit (ध्वनित) is the Sanskrit dhvanita, from the root dhvan, "to sound", which also gives dhvani, "sound". Monier-Williams gives dhvanita as caused to sound, as alluded to or implied, and as a noun meaning sound or thunder. The "implied" sense comes from Indian poetics, where dhvani is the hidden, suggested meaning of a poem. Indian name lists give the name as "sound" or "tone". Dhvanit, often spelled Dhwanit, is used in Gujarat and Maharashtra and is the boy's counterpart of the girl's name Dhvani.
