Kavish meaning
Kavish (कवीश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of poets (kavi, 'poet, sage' + īśa, 'lord')
Kavish (कवीश) joins two Sanskrit words: kavi and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams gives kavi first as an adjective, gifted with insight, wise, enlightened, and as a noun a thinker, sage, seer, and then a singer, bard or poet. In the Vedas the title is given to gods such as Agni, and later it is used for Vālmīki, the first poet, and for Śukra, the planet Venus. Kavīśa itself is not in the dictionary, but MW records the matching compound kavīndra, "a prince among poets". Name lists give Kavish as "lord of poets", which fits the two parts. A few sites call it a name of Ganesha, which we could not confirm.
