Khairunnisa meaning
Khairunnisa (خیرالنساء) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
The best of women (khayr, "good, best" + al-nisāʾ, "women")
Also used to mean: goodness of women
Khairunnisa (خیرالنساء) is the Arabic phrase khayr al-nisāʾ, "the best of women". Lane's lexicon defines khayr as good of every kind, whatever all people desire, excellence and benefit, and notes that it also serves as "better" and "best"; nisāʾ, "women", is the word that names the Quran's fourth surah. Names joined to -un-nisa, such as Mehrunnisa and Zebunnisa, were used in Mughal and Deccani households. Khair-un-Nissa, a Hyderabadi noblewoman of the early 1800s, is the heroine of William Dalrymple's history White Mughals. Name lists give the meaning as "best of women".
