Momina meaning
Momina (مومنہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
A believer; faithful, trusting (feminine of muʾmin)
Momina (مومنہ) is the feminine of the Arabic muʾmin, "believer", from the root ʾ-m-n, which joins the ideas of safety and trust; īmān, "faith", and amān, "security", come from the same root. Lane's lexicon gives muʾmin as believing or a believer, especially in God, His word and His messengers, and as faithful and trusting, and notes that al-Muʾmin, "the Giver of security", is one of the names of God. The Quran often speaks of al-muʾmināt, "the believing women" (33:35). Name lists give Momina as "believer", matching the dictionary. Mumina is another spelling.
