Pranavi meaning
Pranavi (प्रणवी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Feminine of praṇava, the sacred syllable om
Pranavi (प्रणवी) is a modern feminine form of Pranav, from Sanskrit praṇava. Monier-Williams defines praṇava as the mystical or sacred syllable om; a second, rarer word spelled the same way means a small drum. Adding the feminine ending -ī turns it into a girl's name meaning, roughly, "of Om" or "she who is Om". The form praṇavī is not itself recorded in the dictionary, so this is a modern coinage on a well-attested root, much as Pranav is for boys. Some name lists link Pranavi to Parvati or to Lakshmi; we could not find a source for either association.
