Pushpraj meaning
Pushpraj (पुष्पराज) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Topaz; literally 'king of flowers'
Pushpraj (पुष्पराज) is the Sanskrit puṣparāja, made of puṣpa, "flower", and rāja, "king". Monier-Williams records it as another name for puṣparāga, the "flower-hued" gem, which is topaz; the Hindi word for topaz, pukhrāj, comes from the same source. Name lists give "king of flowers", the literal sense, and some add "topaz", which is the dictionary sense. Both are supported. The name is used in North and Central India and is also written Pushparaj, especially in the South.
