Raghuvansh meaning
Raghuvansh (रघुवंश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The race or dynasty of Raghu; Kālidāsa's poem Raghuvaṃśa
Also used to mean: lineage of raghu, lord rama
Raghuvansh (रघुवंश) is Sanskrit raghu-vaṃśa, "the race or dynasty of Raghu", vaṃśa meaning lineage or family line. Monier-Williams gives it as Raghu's race and as the name of Kālidāsa's celebrated poem, the Raghuvaṃśa, which tells the story of the kings of Ayodhya from Dilīpa and Raghu down through Rāma. As a name it links a child to Rama's royal house, which is why lists connect it with Lord Rama. A well-known bearer was the Bihar politician Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
