Rishiraj meaning
Rishiraj (ऋषिराज) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Ṛṣi 'sage, seer' + rāja 'king': king among sages
Also used to mean: king of sages
Rishiraj (ऋषिराज) joins ṛṣi with rāja, "king". Monier-Williams gives ṛṣi as "a singer of sacred hymns, an inspired poet or sage", the seers to whom the Vedic hymns were revealed. Rishiraj is therefore "king among sages", and name lists give "king of sages". A few also say "ray of light", which does not follow from either word. Monier-Williams does not list the compound, so the meaning comes from its parts. In Maharashtra and Gujarat it is also spelt Rushiraj.
