Shaheer meaning
Shaheer (شہیر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Well known, famous, celebrated
Also used to mean: renowned, well-known
Shaheer (شہیر) is the Arabic shahīr, from shahara, "to make known, to make conspicuous". Lane's lexicon refers shahīr to mashhūr, which he defines as well known, well spoken of, celebrated and held in repute, notable and eminent, and he gives shahīr as having the same sense. The root's original picture is conspicuousness: shahr, from the same letters, is the new moon, and so the month. Name lists agree on "famous" and "renowned". The television actor Shaheer Sheikh is a well-known Indian bearer.
