Shobhana meaning
Shobhana (शोभना) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Brilliant, splendid, beautiful; auspicious; (f.) a beautiful woman
Also used to mean: graceful
Shobhana (शोभना) is the feminine of Sanskrit śobhana, from the same root as Shobha, śubh, "to shine". Monier-Williams gives śobhana as brilliant, splendid and beautiful; excellent, glorious and magnificent; propitious and auspicious; and virtuous. The feminine śobhanā is used in the epics and poetry for "a beautiful woman", often when addressing her, and is also the name of one of the Mothers who attend the war-god Skanda. Name lists give "beautiful", "graceful" or "auspicious", all dictionary senses. Spellings include Shobhna in the north and Shobana in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
