Shubh meaning
Shubh (शुभ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Splendid, beautiful; auspicious, prosperous; good, righteous
Shubh (शुभ) is Sanskrit śubha, from the verb śubh, "to shine". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as splendid or beautiful, pleasant and suitable, auspicious and prosperous, and morally good, righteous or pure, and the neuter noun as anything bright or beautiful, good fortune, happiness and virtuous action. Indians use shubh for good wishes, as in shubh vivah for a wedding, and shubh labh, "auspicious gain", is written on doorways and account books. Name lists give Shubh as "auspicious" or "good".
