Sitakant meaning
Sitakant (सीताकांत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Odia usage). By its first sound, सी, it is a Kumbh rashi name (Shatabhisha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Beloved or husband of Sita, that is Rama (sītā + kānta)
Sitakant (सीताकांत, Odia ସୀତାକାନ୍ତ) joins Sītā with kānta. Monier-Williams records Sītā as the heroine of the epics, wife of Rāmacandra and daughter of King Janaka of Mithila; the word first meant a furrow, the line left by a plough. Kānta means beloved, and as a noun a lover or husband. "Sita's beloved" is Rama, so the name is a devotional way of naming him. The compound is not a dictionary headword. In Odisha the name is often written Sitakanta. A well-known bearer is Sitakant Mahapatra, the Odia poet and winner of the Jnanpith Award.
