In the dictionaries
We haven't confirmed a dictionary meaning for the name itself. The meaning above is how families commonly use it.
Srihan (श्रीहान) is a modern name with no entry in the Sanskrit dictionaries. Its first part is clearly śrī, which Monier-Williams gives as light, beauty, prosperity and good fortune and as the name of the goddess Lakṣmī; the ending is not explained by any source we found. Families use Srihan to mean "Lord Vishnu", Lakṣmī's husband, or "handsome", but we could not confirm either sense. The name is used mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and is also written Shrihan.
