Sulochana meaning
Sulochana (सुलोचना) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Fine-eyed, having beautiful eyes
Sulochana (सुलोचना) is the feminine of Sanskrit sulocana, from su-, "beautiful", and locana, "eye". Monier-Williams defines it as "fine-eyed, having beautiful eyes" and records Sulochana as the name of an Apsaras, a Yakshini and several women in the Puranas and story collections. Name lists give "one with beautiful eyes", which matches. The name is used in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Sunaina and Sunayana carry the same idea.
