Aarya meaning
Aarya (आर्या) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin, also used for boys, often spelled Arya.
Honourable, noble; (āryā) a name of Pārvatī; a metre
Aarya (आर्या) is the feminine of Sanskrit ārya, "honourable, worthy, noble". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as "worthy, honourable, noble, of good family, excellent, wise" and "suitable". The dictionary records Āryā as a name of the goddess Parvati, citing the Harivamsha, and as the name of a well-known two-line metre of classical Sanskrit and Prakrit verse, as well as of a hymn of praise. Indian name lists give Aarya as "noble" or "Goddess Parvati", matching the dictionary. The name is used for girls and, especially in the spelling Arya, for boys as well; the boys' name Aryan comes from the same word.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Parvati.
