Tanika meaning
Tanika (तनिका) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A cord, a rope
Tanika (तनिका) is a rare Sanskrit word, tanikā, which Monier-Williams gives as "a cord", citing Māgha's classical poem Śiśupālavadha. Name lists explain Tanika in the same way, as "rope" or "cord", so the popular and dictionary meanings agree, although a few lists offer "purity", which we could not find. Its sound sits comfortably beside Tanvi, Tanaya and Tanisha. The name is short and easy to spell.
