Varenya meaning
Varenya (वरेण्य) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Desirable, excellent, best among; supreme bliss
Also used to mean: most desirable
Varenya (वरेण्य) is the Sanskrit vareṇya, "to be wished for", from vara, "choice, the best". Monier-Williams gives it as desirable, excellent and best among others, citing the Ṛg-veda, and as a neuter noun "supreme bliss"; in the Mahābhārata it is also the name of a son of the sage Bhṛgu. The word occurs in the Gāyatrī mantra, which asks to meditate on the "most excellent" (vareṇyam) light of the sun god Savitṛ. Name lists give it as "most desirable" or "excellent", matching the dictionary. It is used mostly for boys.
