Vardaan meaning
Vardaan (वरदान) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The granting of a boon or request; a reward
Also used to mean: blessing, gift
Vardaan (वरदान) is the Sanskrit varadāna, made from vara, "a boon, a chosen wish", and dāna, "giving". Monier-Williams gives it as the granting of a boon or request, citing the Mahābhārata and Rāmāyaṇa, and also as the giving of a reward. In the epics a god pleased by devotion or austerity grants a vara, and the granting itself is the varadāna. In Hindi vardān has come to mean any blessing or gift. Name lists give it as "blessing", "gift" or "boon", matching the dictionary. Do not confuse it with Vardhan, "growth".
