Yahvi meaning
Yahvi (यह्वी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
(dual) heaven and earth; (plural) the flowing waters, the great rivers
Also used to mean: union of heaven and earth
Yahvi (यह्वी) is a Rigvedic word. Its masculine yahva means restless, swift and active, and is used of the fire-god Agni, of Indra and Soma, and of ever-flowing waters. Monier-Williams gives the feminine yahvī in the dual as "heaven and earth" and in the plural as the flowing waters, the seven great rivers. Name lists explain Yahvi as "union of heaven and earth" or simply "heaven"; the first fits the dictionary, while "heaven" alone is a looser reading.
