Divija meaning
Divija (दिविजा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Heaven-born, celestial
Also used to mean: divine
Divija (दिविजा) is the feminine of the Sanskrit divi-ja, made from divi, "in heaven", and -ja, "born", the same ending found in names such as Girija, "born of the mountain". Monier-Williams gives divija as heaven-born or celestial, a form noted by the grammarian Pāṇini, and as a noun, a god, in the Bhāgavata Purāṇa. Name lists give "heaven-born" or "divine", which matches the dictionary. It is a newer girls' name, short and easy to say in any Indian language.
