Adriel meaning
Adriel is an international and Christian boy's name of Hebrew origin.
Flock of God; BDB suggests "my help is God"
Also used to mean: God is my help
Adriel is a Hebrew name, ʿAdrîʾēl, that appears twice in the Old Testament. Strong's Concordance (H5741) reads it as ʿēder, "flock", with ʾēl, "God", so "flock of God"; Brown-Driver-Briggs prefers an Aramaic root and reads it as "my help is God". Both senses are found on name lists. In 1 Samuel 18:19 Adriel the Meholathite marries Merab, the elder daughter of King Saul, after Saul breaks his promise to give her to David. The name ends in -el, like Gabriel and Daniel, and its three soft syllables are easy for Indian families to say.
