Aida meaning
Aida (عائدہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
A favour, kindness, benefit; one who returns or visits
Also used to mean: returning, visitor
Aida (عائدہ), also spelled Ayeda, is Arabic ʿāʾida, from the root ʿ-w-d, "to return". Lane's lexicon gives the masculine ʿāʾid as one who visits the sick, or a visitor who keeps coming back, and the feminine ʿāʾida as a favour, kindness or compassion, a benefit that returns to someone. Name lists give Aida as "returning", "visitor" or "benefit", which follow these senses. It is used by Muslim families in India alongside the spelling Ayeda.
