Alaa meaning
Alaa (آلاء) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Blessings, favours, benefits (plural of ilan)
Alaa (آلاء) is Arabic ālāʾ, "blessings", the plural of ilan. Lane's lexicon defines the singular as a benefit, a favour, a boon or a blessing. The word is best known from Sura al-Raḥmān, where the refrain "Which, then, of your Lord's blessings will you deny?" is repeated again and again (55:13). Name lists give Alaa as "blessings" or "favours", in line with the dictionary. It is a different name from Arabic ʿAlāʾ, "eminence", which is spelled with the letter ʿayn and is a boy's name in the Arab world.
