Anfal meaning
Anfal (انفال) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin.
Spoils of war; gifts given beyond what is due
Also used to mean: bounties
Anfal (انفال) is Arabic anfāl, the plural of nafal, and the title of the eighth sura of the Quran, al-Anfāl, which opens with a question about the spoils of battle. In Lane's lexicon the root n-f-l carries the idea of something given beyond what is owed: the verb naffala means to give a person a share of spoil or a free gift, and nāfila is a voluntary act of charity or an extra prayer. Name lists give Anfal as "spoils of war" and, more gently, "gifts" or "bounties".
