Farhana meaning
Farhana (فرحانہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Joyful, glad; feminine of farḥān
Also used to mean: happy, delighted
Farhana (فرحانہ) is the feminine of Arabic farḥān, "joyful", from the root f-r-ḥ, "to rejoice". Lane's lexicon lists farḥān with fariḥ as words for one who is rejoicing, glad or happy, and records farḥāna as its feminine on the authority of the Qāmūs, while noting that one early scholar was unsure of that form. The same root gives Farah, "joy", and Fariha, "joyful". Name lists give Farhana as "joyful" or "happy", matching the dictionary. It is used by Muslims in India and Bangladesh.
