Dhiman meaning
Dhiman (धीमान) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Intelligent, wise, learned, sensible
Dhiman (धीमान, Bengali ধীমান) is the nominative form of Sanskrit dhīmat, built from dhī, "thought, understanding, intelligence", with an ending that means "having". Monier-Williams gives intelligent, wise, learned and sensible, citing Manu and the Mahābhārata, and records Dhīmat as a name of Bṛhaspati, the teacher of the gods, as well as of a sage and of a son of Purūravas. The long -ān at the end is the Sanskrit nominative, the same ending heard in Riddhiman and Archisman.
