Fakhira meaning
Fakhira (فاخرہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Superb, excellent, of fine quality; also one who glories
Also used to mean: magnificent, proud
Fakhira (فاخرہ) is the feminine of Arabic fākhir, from the root f-kh-r, "to glory, to take pride". Lane's lexicon gives fākhir in two senses: one who glories in his merits, and, of a thing, superb, grand, excellent or of fine quality, "as though glorying" over others. In Urdu fākhira is used of fine, costly things, such as rich clothes. The same root gives fakhr, "pride, glory", as in Fakhruddin. Name lists give Fakhira as "excellent", "magnificent" or "proud", all of which the dictionary supports.
