Harbhajan meaning
Harbhajan (ਹਰਭਜਨ) is a Sikh boy's name of Punjabi origin.
Bhajan, worship and repeating God's Name, of Hari, God
Also used to mean: devotee of God, one who sings God's praises
Harbhajan (ਹਰਭਜਨ) puts together har(i), God, and bhajan. The Mahan Kosh defines bhajan as worship and service, and in particular as repeating the Name of God. The phrase ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ, worship of God, runs through the Guru Granth Sahib: on Ang 408 Guru Arjan calls it the work that bears fruit, and Guru Tegh Bahadur's saloks on Ang 1427 say that without it a life passes in vain. Name lists usually render Harbhajan as a devotee of God. The best-known bearer is the India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.
