Mrinalini meaning
Mrinalini (मृणालिनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A lotus plant; a cluster of lotuses
Mrinalini (मृणालिनी) is Sanskrit mṛṇālinī, which Monier-Williams defines as a lotus plant or a cluster of lotuses, citing Kālidāsa's Raghuvaṃśa and Bāṇa's Kādambarī. It is built on mṛṇāla, the fibrous, edible root of the lotus or the fibre of a water-lily stalk, so the name grows out of the plant itself rather than just its flower. Name lists give "lotus", which matches the dictionary. A well-known bearer is Mrinalini Sarabhai (1918–2016), the Bharatanatyam and Kathakali dancer and choreographer who founded the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts in Ahmedabad in 1948 and received the Padma Bhushan in 1992. The name is often spelled Mrunalini in western India.
