Paramita meaning
Paramita (पारमिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage). By its first sound, पा, it is a Kanya rashi name (Uttara Phalguni nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Complete attainment, perfection; a transcendent virtue
Paramita (পারমিতা, often said Paromita) is Sanskrit pāramitā. It is built from pāra, "the further shore", and ita, "gone", so its first sense is crossing over to the other side. Monier-Williams gives the noun as complete attainment or perfection, and as the name of the transcendent virtues of Buddhism: six or ten perfections such as generosity, moral conduct, patience, effort, meditation and wisdom. As a girls' name it is used mainly in Bengal, where it is often spelled Paromita in English to match the Bengali sound.
